Hotel in Morelia

Here are pictures of the hotel I was thinking of booking for Morelia.  In an email they said:

The Patzcuaro Suite is off the large courtyard entryway and also consists of two rooms. One is a den with a futon that pulls out into a bed if needed and also has a single bed. The other room is a bedroom with a queen size bed. This suite has a private bathroom with shower that is NOT in the suite. You have to leave the suite, go through the courtyard, and enter the main house to get to the bathroom. For the sole purpose of bathroom location, this suite rents for $55 US per night. It is a very nice large bedroom and den, original to the house.

But they may be flexible on the price for a long-term rental.  Other suites in the hotel rent for up to $95, but there is one for $65 with private bath.

  1. If we are willing to camp and have just arrived from Costa Rica, I don't think we will mind the toilet being in another building. The place looked cozy and I think $55 sounds OK. I just have a feeling that we shouldn't have to pay more than $55 per night in Morelia, unless we want luxury.

It would be worth trying to bargain, of course, but we are not staying for that long either (14 days of which probably at least 1 will be spent camping to really see the butterflies).
